Aretta Elizabeth Davis, 80, of Augusta, WV went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA with her daughter by her side.

Born on May 18, 1945 in Augusta, WV, she was the daughter of the late Arnold Adolph and Fannie Davis.

Aretta was a homemaker and a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed. Aretta and her daughter Elizabeth were inseparable.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah Cheshire and Beryl Gray, five brothers, Frank, Edgar, Herbie and Arley Davis and an infant brother John.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Davis, two sisters, Pearl Nealis of New Jersey and Irene Keiter of Romney, WV, sister-in-law, Frances Davis, Louise Davis and Mary Lou Blackburn and a special niece, Becky Largent (Mike) along with a host of other nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta, WV with Pastor Denzil Davis officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior. Interment will be in Tearcoat Cemetery, Augusta, WV.
