t is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear Allen Lee Nance, III – aka "Trey" – on Friday, Sept. 27, 2024, tragically on his 25th birthday. Born on this same day in 1999 at Loudoun Hospital Center in Leesburg, Va., Trey filled our lives with love and light from the moment he came into the world.

Trey leaves behind his parents, Allen Lee Nance, Jr. and Lisa Marie Nance; Lisa's fiancé, Chris Grandel; his sister, Mandy Peterson and her husband Cody and their three beautiful daughters — Trey's nieces, Lottie, Evelyn and Sophia; as well as his grandparents, Allen Lee Nance Sr. and Mary Nance, as well as his loving girlfriend of two years, Lisa "Dirty Sox" Figg and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Trey struggled a lot with finding the perfect job and what he wanted to do, but he truly found his niche when he started working with the great folks at OWRF (Opequon Water Reclamation Facility) with the city of Winchester. He worked as an operator and he loved his job and the people he worked with. He was truly happy.

Trey's good humor and generous spirit touched the lives of anyone he knew or met. He had so many friends — even overseas — some of which developed into much stronger relationships than you can imagine.

Trey was a "gamer" and based on everything we've learned, was pretty darned good at it. He was known as The Meme King as well as having an odd but wonderful sense of humor.

The Nance family wishes to thank all those who have helped us in these last few days. Your prayers and support have meant the world to us all.

A memorial service/Celebration of Life was held at Keystone Baptist Church on Oct. 3, 2024, in Berryville, Va. 22611 and was officiated by a dear family friend, school principal and Assistant Pastor of Keystone, Stuart Rogers.
