Wayne Delinor Cummins, 83, of Shanks, WV passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center.

Born on Nov. 2, 1933 in Shanks, WV, he was the son of the late Aubrey B. Cummins and Sarah “Virginia” French Cummins.

He graduated from Romney High School, Class of 1951. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the Augusta Ruritan and the Romney Moose and was Treasurer of Ebenezer Cemetery.  He was an employee of the Hampshire Co. Board of Education and a tax preparer for individuals.  He was a faithful, continuous donator to the American Red Cross Blood Bank.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert “Bobby” Cummins.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnetta Jean (Ganoe) Cummins, a step-daughter: Melissa Hubbard of Winchester, VA; two step-sons: Darren S. Foltz and Jonathan Foltz, both of Winchester; 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; three sisters: Anna Lou Kalta of Solon, OH, Diana Adam and husband Paul of Chesterland, OH, Carol Solon and husband Stuart of Richmond, Va; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM at McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta, with Pastor Vernon Bray officiating.  Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney, WV.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Ebenezer Cemetery, 340 JBL Drive, Romney, WV 26757.    

All arrangements are being handled by McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV.

My deepest wishes of sympathy to Bonnie and family on Wayne's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. I am so happy I saw you all at the Mt. Top my last trip home. RIP, Wayne.
