Liz Meszaros Combs, 64, of Shanks, WV, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center.

Born on August 17, 1952 in Decs, Hungary, she was the daughter of the late Karoly Meszaros and Julianna Maros Meszaros.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Stephen Meszaros (Sandra) of Romney and Karoly L. Meszaros (Molly).

She is survived by her husband, Jerry “Joe” Combs, a daughter, Kerri Combs Racey and husband Michael, Jr. of Camp Lejune, NC, two sons, Scott Combs of Slanesville, WV, Stephen Williams of Romney, WV, two step-sons, Billy Calhoun and John Calhoun, both of Romney, WV; 6 grandchildren: Tyler, Jacob, Julianna, Thomas, Derek and his fiancée Hannah Lambert, and her adopted grandson, Josh Corbin and a great-grandchild, Alycia.

She was a wonderful wife and mother and was loved by so many. She was her daughter’s best friend and her husband’s whole life. She lived and fought for her grandchildren. Mike and Carol Timbrook were her heroes.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Augusta Church of Christ with Pastor Danny Combs and Pastor Deborah Shreves officiating.  

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family c/o McKee Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Augusta WV 26704.

All arrangements are being handled by McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV.

I am so sorry for your lost. My heart goes out to each of you. Remember that God is with you and the family and God will help you through this time of pain and heartbreak. I love you my dear cousin and I am thinking of you and your family. Mom sends her love to you and she is praying for you.

So sorry for your loss ,Liz was a wonderful person I always remember her when it comes to our yard sales she always was there & we would chit chat all the time

Liz was a great woman, we enjoyed her each time we saw her. She was so feisty and full of life and had a great sense of humor. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her.
