Earl Oliver Davis, 79, of Winchester, VA formerly of Rio, WV passed away on Monday August 12, 2013 at Winchester Medical Center.

Born on May 19, 1934 in Rio, WV, he was the son of the late Harold O. Davis and Lillian V. (Ludwig) Davis.

He was a C. M. Watchmaker. He was an Army veteran, a member of the Ebenezer Lutheran Church and a former member of North River Vol. Fire Co.

Earl is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Libby”( Billmeyer) Davis, a brother, Boyd A. Davis and wife Lela of Stephens City, VA, brother-in-law, Eugene Billmeyer of Romney, WV, sisters-in-laws, Pat Kent and husband Junior, Becky Gillam and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in Ebenezer Lutheran Church, Rio, WV with Pastor David Twedt officiating. Interment will follow in Rio Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening, 7:00-9:00 P.M., at McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Ebenezer Lutheran Church, % Mattie Tusing, 6365 Needmore Rd. Baker, WV 26801.

All arrangements are being handled by McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV

Libby, so sorry to learn of Earl's passing, for some reason he's been on my mind lately. He was such a nice person and fun to be with during the years I worked at Feagans almost 50 years ago. Deepest sympathy to you and your family.

Libby and family you have my deepest sympathy. I can remeber as a young girl going to Easter sunrise service on the hill. It's just one of my memories of Earl. He was always so nice to us..May god bless you and wrap his arms around you in your time of need.
