Willard L. “Willie” Nelson 56 of Romney, WV passed away on Saturday May 9, 2009 in Hampshire Memorial Hospital.

Born on March 18, 1953 in Maryland, he was the son of George W. and Carrie Wilma (Peer) Diven.

 He worked as a lawn caretaker. He was a member of the Apostolic Tabernacle, Romney, WV and he was an armed forces veteran.

He is survived by his wife Claudia (Bloodgood) Nelson, a daughter, Jennifer Keller of Harrisonburg, VA, 3 sons, Joshua Nelson of Petersburg, WV, Jody Nelson of Frederick, MD, Jonathan Nelson of Fisher, WV, a sister Romana Ganoe of Chatsworth, GA, 2 brothers, Woodward G. Diven of Phonix, AL, Gilbert Diven of Saddleboro, N.C. and 4 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, George L. Diven.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 16, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. in the Apostolic Tabernacle, Romney with Pastor Larry Powell and Daniel Stiltner, minister officiating.
