Clifford Henry Towles Jr. 83 of Smyrna, GA formerly of Hampshire Co. WV passed away on Friday April 11, 2008 in Emory Adventist Hospital, Smyrna, GA.

Born on July 21, 1924 in Miami, FL, he was the son of the late Clifford H. and Violet (Asbury) Towles.

He retired as an assistant principal at South Broward High School in Florida, former teacher and baseball coach at Capon Bridge High School, a member of the Clinton Lodge No 86 AF & AM, Mahi Shrine (Jesters) in Miami and a veteran of World War II.

Cliff is survived by his wife Zada P. “Spider” (Poland) Towles, a daughter, Janet Hiler Bowman and husband Barry of Roanoke, VA, a son, Alan Towles and wife Terry of Smyrna, GA, and four grandchildren, Alicia Hiler, Jonathan Hiler, Mackenzie Towles and Grant Towles.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Towles.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday April 16, 2008, graveside in RockOak Cemetery, Baker, WV at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Burl Charlton officiating. Interment will be in RockOak Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday 2-4 &7-9 at the McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV.
