Marie Ella Burroughs

Marie Ella Burroughs 78 of Romney, WV passed away on Tuesday March 25, 2008 in Berkeley Springs Nursing and Rehab Center.

Born on December 31, 1929 in Sweet Springs, WV, she was the daughter of the late Hobart W. and Josephine Mary (Howard) Lawson.

She was an electronics engineer, a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and Ladies Auxillary of Moose both of Romney and the Elks of Laurel, MD.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Burroughs Sr. on May 11, 2003, also preceded by a brother, Howard P. Lawson.

She is survived by two sons, Charles E. Burroughs and wife Kathy of Augusta, WV, Robert D. Burroughs and wife Shirley of Capon Bridge, WV, a daughter, Janice L. Kesner and husband Gregory of Shanks, WV, a brother, William Lawson of Romney, WV, a sister, Virginia Weizoric of Glen Burnie, MD, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 29, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. in the McKee Funeral Home Chapel, 115 E. Birch Lane Romney, WV with Father Simon Michael officiating.

Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney, WV.

The family will receive friends on Friday 2-4 &7-9 at the funeral home.
