Frances V. Wolford

Frances V. Wolford, 87, of Romney went home to be with the lord on March 20, 2008.

Born July 20, 1920 in Romney, WV she was the daughter of the late Charlie Sirk and Virginia M. (Craig) Sirk. 

Frances was a member of the Romney Assembly of God Church where she taught Sunday school for 42 years.   She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband Roy Webster Wolford on February 12, 1988, two daughters Dorothy and JoAnn Wolford; one brother Robert Sirk; two sisters Annie Heavener and Mildred Zirk.

Surviving are one son Roy Dailey Wolford and wife Nancy of Amherst, VA; two daughters Shirley Hartman and husband Eddie of Purgittsville, WV and Janet Buckley and husband Gene of Romney; seven grandchildren Jim Wolford, Trina Bowman, Tambi Davey, Allen Buckley, Jeff Buckley, Wendy Minor and Penny Trenton; eleven great-grandchildren Angela Buckley, Justin Buckley, Jamion Wolford, Benjamin Wolford, Michael Haggerty, Robin Hartman,  Cody Minor, Amber Bowman, Jessica Bowman, Erica Bowman and Travis Kidwell.

Funeral services will be on March 24, 2008 at the Romney Assembly of God Church at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Gwen Wolford and Pastor James Mou officiating.  Interment will be at the Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Points, WV.   The family will receive friends on Saturday March 22, 2008 from 2-4 &7-9 at the McKEE Funeral Home 115 E. Birch Lane Romney, WV.
