Lloyd D. Combs

Lloyd D. Combs, 98, of Augusta, WV, passed away Saturday March 1, 2008 at the residence of Eugene Combs in Augusta, WV.

Born on October 2, 1909 in Kirby, WV, he was the son of the late Oda Swisher and
William Combs.

Mr. Combs was a farmer and carpenter. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church at Kirby, WV.

He is preceded in death by his spouse Cora Belle Hott, one son Clarence Ray Combs and one daughter Ellen L. Smith. Three brothers: Raymond Combs, Paul Combs, Hubert Combs and two sisters Mabel Combs and Alta Hott, one great-grandchild and one great-great grandchild.

He is survived by three sons: Eugene Combs, Don Combs, and Richard Combs of Augusta, WV; Six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild, and eight great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the McKee Funeral Home Chapel in Augusta, WV with Rev. John Vetter officiating.  Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Augusta, WV. 

The family will receive friends on Monday March 3, 2008 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9.
