Mary Kathryn Bucklew

Mary Kathryn Bucklew 81 of Shanks, WV went home to meet her Dear Lord & Savior on Sunday February 17, 2008 at her home.

Born on September 9, 1926 in Kirby, WV, she was the daughter of the late Grover H. and Vertha Virginia ( Shanholtz) Hott.

Mary worked for the Hampshire County Board of Education as a school cook for many years and she was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church.

She was the devoted wife to Kenneth E. Bucklew who she married on September 16, 1944.

Blessed to be her children are Michael E. Bucklew and wife Kay of Jefferson, GA and Karen S. Thomas and husband Danny of Morgantown, WV. Loving grandchildren, Karrie Clymer and fiancée Nathanial Bowers, Kelsey Clymer, a precious great-granddaughter, Nataleigh Bowers, also surviving 2 brothers, Grover”Dick’ Hott of Cumberland, MD, Arno Hott of Augusta, WV, 2 sisters, Alta White of Winchester, Wanda Montgomery of Shanks, WV and a special niece Sharon Link.

She was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Melvin R. Hott, Woodrow Hott, Earl Hott, Eldon Hott and 3 sisters, Pearl Combs, Leona Hott and Thelma Hott.

Mary was a gentle soul who walked with God every day and will be remembered as an angel who walked among us.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday February 20, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Romney, WV with Pastor Robert Jeffreys and Pastor Lucy Webster officiating.

Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney, WV.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 at the McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV.
