Major (retired) Freddie Allen Teaford

Major (retired) Freddie Allen Teaford 57 of Yorktown, VA formerly of Hampshire Co. WV passed away on Thursday January 3, 2008 at his home.

Born on January 27, 1950 in Augusta, WV he was the son of Mabel (Bowman) Teaford of Shanks, WV and the late Lawrence D. Teaford.

He was a graduate of Hampshire High School and received his Master’s Degree in Business from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Freddie retired from the US Army after 24 years of service including the Vietnam War.  He was a member of the Augusta United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1980 and a brother Larry Lee Teaford in 1982.

Freddie is survived by his wife Diana G. ( Judy) Teaford, along with his mother, also surviving are 2 daughters, Tara Miscione of Hoboken, NJ, Kellie Teaford of Yorktown, VA, a brother Dana Teaford of Martinsburg, WV and 4 sisters, Barbara Riley of Augusta, WV , Carla McBride and Myra Kesner both of Shanks, WV and Susan Peters of Romney, WV.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday January 6, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. in the Augusta United Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Longbon officiating.

Interment will be in the Augusta Cemetery, Augusta, WV.

The family will receive friends on Saturday 2-4 & 7-9 at the McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV.
