Wilda Armetha McKee

Wilda Armetha McKee 82 of Slanesville, WV passed away on Sunday January 27, 2008 in Winchester Medical Center.

Born on January 14, 1926 in Shanks, WV, she was the daughter of the late Truman E. and Lydia Estella (Snyder) Haines.

Mrs. McKee taught school in Hampshire County, WV for 27 years. She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church.

Wilda was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth B. McKee on December 2, 2007, also preceded by two sisters, Vallie Burk, Beulah Hott, two brothers, George and Gerald Haines.

She is survived by two sons, Michael McKee and wife Gloria, John David McKee and wife Carol both of Slanesville, WV, a sister, Frances Buckbee of Romney, four grandchildren, Melanie Pack and husband Chris, Michael Paul McKee, Mollie Burnside and husband Sam, Zachary McKee, a step-grandchild, Gary Potter and wife Kim and a step-great-grandchild, Savannah and a special niece, Betty Jean Garland of Fort Ashby, WV.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday January 31, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in the McKee Funeral Home Chapel Augusta, WV with Pastor Harold George officiating.

Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery, Points, WV.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday 2-4 &7-9 at the funeral home.
