Carole V. Bean 66 of Shanks, WV passed away on Sunday January 20, 2008 in Sacred Heart Hospital Cumberland, MD.

Born on December 22, 1941 in Keyser, WV, she was the daughter of the late William and Edress C. (Bissett) Blackburn.

She was a homemaker, a member of the American Legion and V.F.W.

Carole was preceded in death along with her parents, by a brother, Ronald Blackburn, and 2 sisters, Janet Yvonne Dorsey and Jennie Lee Wilson.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence ‘Jr.” Bean, also surviving are 4 sons, James W. Marple and wife Angela of Shanks, WV, Donald R. Marple and wife Tiny of Augusta, WV, David A. Marple, Terry R. Marple and wife Angela both of Shanks, WV, 2 brothers, Richard Blackburn of Edgewood, MD, Charles W. Blackburn of Union City, OK, a sister, Marlene Paolino of Baltimore, MD, 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 23, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. in the McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta, WV with Rev. Richard Reece officiating.

Interment will be in Mt. Dale Cemetery, Shanks, WV.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday 2-4 &7-9 at the funeral home.
