Lawrence “Tobe” G. Wyatt Jr.

Lawrence “Tobe” G. Wyatt Jr. 80 of Romney, WV passed away on Wednesday January 16, 2008 in Hampshire Health Care Center Romney, WV.

Born on June 10, 1927 in Jacksonburg, WV, he was the son of the late Lawrence G. and Rosie L. (Fluharty) Wyatt Sr.

He was an Army veteran of WW11, a member of the Romney Church of Christ, a Captain in WV Dept. of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division, Masonic Lodge member of the Middleburne Lodge #34 AF & AM, Wheeling Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, Clarksburg S.R. Bodies & Ali Ghan Shriners of Cumberland, MD.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Doris Jean (Fiber) Wyatt whom he married on February 9, 1952 in New Martinsville, WV.

Along with his wife he is survived by a daughter, Renita Denise Liley and husband Tom of Columbia, S.C. a son Michael Paul Wyatt and wife Kay of Buchannon, WV, 5 grandchildren, Jeffrey Wyatt, Lisa Crechko, Heather Littleton, Joshua S. Liley , Erin Liley and 5 great-grandchildren.

Tobe was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Herman Wyatt, Carl Wyatt, Harry Wyatt and Ray Shaffer.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 19, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. in the McKee Funeral Home Chapel Augusta, WV with Rev. Dick Bartrug officiating.

Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney, WV.

The family will receive friends on Friday 2-4 &7-9 at the funeral home.
