Eulala  “Lalie” Martin Grapes

Eulala  “Lalie” Martin Grapes 90 of Romney, WV passed away on Thursday August 23, 2007 at her home.

Born on April 24, 1917 in North River Mills, WV, she was the daughter of the late Rumsey and Lillie (Haines) Martin.

Lalie was a member of the Zion Church of Christ, at Hoy and a 50 year member of the Ebenezer CEOS.

She was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Faustina Martin, Enola Smith, Guyula Paquin, Kathleen Tabb and 1 brother, Forest Martin.

Lalie is survived by her husband E.L. “Shorty” Grapes whom she married on June 19, 1935, also surviving are 2 daughters, Carolyn Grapes of Romney, Ellen Sautter of Youngstown, PA, 1 son Vernon Grapes of Cumberland, MD, a sister, Onile Sencindiver of Romney, 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday August 26, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. in the Zion Church of Christ, Hoy, WV with John Ward, Minister officiating.  Interment will be in the Tearcoat Cemetery, Augusta, WV.

The family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon 2-5 at the McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, WV.
