Mary Catherine Ours

Mary Catherine Ours 92 of Rio, WV passed away on Saturday July 28, 2007 in the Winchester Medical Center.

Mary was born on January 1, 1915 in royal Glen, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Sally (Taylor) Hyre.

She was a homemaker. She graduated from Petersburg High School Class of 1933, a member of the Sperrys Run United Methodist Church, a member of United Methodist Womens Club for 55 years.

Mary married Virgil A. Ours on December 30, 1938 in Keyser, WV.

She is survived by her husband, Virgil, 2 sons, Virgil Ours Jr. and wife Geraldine of Harrisonburg, VA, Gordon Ours and wife Jill of Moorefield, WV, 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 1, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. in the Sperrys Run United Methodist Church, Rio, WV with Pastor Loretta Brinker officiating.

Interment will be in the Lahmansville Cemetery, Lahmansville, WV.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening 6-8 at the McKee Funeral Home, Baker, WV.

Memorials may be made to the Burlington Childrens Home, Burlington, WV.
