Carl Lester “Sonny” McBride Jr.

Carl Lester “Sonny” McBride Jr. 67 of Romney, WV passed away on Sunday July 1, 2007 in the Winchester Medical Center.

Born on August 8, 1939 in Springfield, WV, he was the son of the late Carl A. McBride and Vergie (Lewis) McBride.

Sonny was an equipment operator in construction.

He was preceded in death by his wife Maberine “Janet” Bowen McBride on December 16, 1999, also preceded by a sister, Mary Saville and a brother Roger McBride.

Sonny is survived by 4 daughters, Carol Ann Crawford of Fredricksburg, TX, Donna Darlene Conard of Broadway,VA, Kelly McBride Taylor of Winchester, VA, Sherri Lynn McBride of Romney, WV, 5 sisters, Helen Saville of Romney, Linda Davis , Shirley Davis both of Augusta, Anna McBride of Three Churches, WV, Alice Howell of Clyde,TX  a brother, Joseph McBride of Three Churches, WV, 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday July 5, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. in the McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta, WV with Pastor Denzil Davis officiating.

Interment will be in the Branch Mt. Baptist Cemetery, Three Churches, WV.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening 7-9 at the funeral home.

The arrangements are under the direction of McKee Funeral Home, Augusta.
