Steve “Cowboy” Pownall

Steve “Cowboy” Pownall 66 of Seffner, FL passed away on Saturday October 6, 2007 at his home with his loving family at his side.

Born on July 23, 1941 in Romney, WV he was the son of the late C. Russell and Helen Virginia (Hannas) Pownall.

He graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1959 and served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1962. Steve is a retired member of the Local Union # 624, Plumbers and Pipefitters. “Cowboy” was well known by many as the owner of the popular show car “Lavender Blue”, a 1958 Chevy Impala.

Steve is survived by 2 daughters, Luanna Bechman of Seffner, FL, La Donna Clark of Duette, FL. 3 sisters, Roxanna Guswieler of Tamp, FL, Betty Pyles of Winchester, VA, Ruby Jean Orndorff of Augusta, WV, 2 brothers, Bill Pownall of Bushnell, FL Jim Pownall of Georgia and 3 grandchildren, Ashley, Lorianne and Nicholas.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday October 14, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. in the Ebenezer Cemetery with Pastor Lucy Webster officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by McKee Funeral Home, Romney, WV.
